Hi!The lost and long missed Mara is back!Horray!It´s good that you are healthy again!You like to watch figure-scating,too?I also like to watch Ice-Hockey!The Canadians are best-of course!I was icescating today.My recently bought ice-scaters I brought back to the shop and got my money back.They were too small.I had lots of problems with them.My collegue gave me the ice-scaters from her son to try them.Unfortunately I couldn´t scate with these ones today.They have no grinding.I didn´t want to pay 7,50 € for grinding.She said I can buy them,but we didn´t talk about the price yet.When the price is okay,I will take them.So I lent out some scaters today.
What should I say to what you said about talking to Jyrki here?He´s a busy person and I think he´s not interested in such things.Imagine he would do that,he can forget his privacy,when it comes out.When he talks to a girl here for example and it comes out,everybody wants to do the same.He won´t be happy anymore and bothered and tortured by everybody.His life would be destroyed.Let´s talk among each other here and have lots of fun and dreams.That´s much and should be enough.The rest is unrealistic.Sure,we are not more worse than he is,but are we all younger than him...??I doubt that...;-)))And because of sucking blood,when it´s just the blood he´s taking while a girl is sleeping...Concerning to the joke I told KinChin...;-)))))))))One fine day he might sing a duett with Faruz in heaven,when he´s not careful enough...;-))))So,it´s better just to suck blood and keep himself fit and complete...Haha!!Have a nice evening,dear Mara and take care of yourself!!Many greetings from Martina!!

I am a vampire too... I've never seen my own reflection in the mirror...so I don't really know how I look like...
My friend call me a vampire and started screaming in fear because she tought I was going to hurt her or something! XD Now that's not normal...
Good for you, Martina, you saw Jyrki live and of course he's normal, he just likes to talk... to talk a lot! XD Like really, really lot! Hahaha! =D Sometimes when I listen to him in his interviews I can't help myself but to go to sleep... XD But his voice is so calming, it's hypnotising! It was a nice day today, but it was a little cold. But I don't care, at least it doesn't rain anymore! ^^
It was a sunny day, the last time I saw the sun was like eight days ago! XD
It's going to be fullmoon night again and it's so beutiful to see that. There are no clouds in the sky so you can see the moon perfectly!
I once watched for half an hour straight into the moon and I think I got hypnotised! XD But that's nothing, my friend just stared into it for 2 hours! I think she gets dizzy now and then from all that staring! =D
But you can't help it!! =) So when is Jyrki going to send us a new photo and write a post (the whole post has got like 5 words but who cares...XD), I'm bored at watching this photo of him in Paris with the horns up of course! ^^
I mean Jyrki post us something new!!! XD This photo is too old! But I'll never forget when I saw that photo of him, Jussi and I believe Archzie in the sea and Jyrki with his red swimsuit on! XD Omg, that was hillarious!=))) But it was hot.. He always looks hot! He can put a bag on him and still he would be hot as hell! ;)

I´m really groggy!Last night I got lost somewhere in the internet.I just wanted to look up s.th.quickly and then I switched from one topic to another...you might now,how that is...The time-stealing-machine...Suddenly I took a look at the clock...ahhgrrr!3.30!How could that happen...???I was very hyperactive today from inside and on the other hand I thought about how good that was.Please no rest during the day!In the evening I had a date by my hairdresser.When she washed my hair I already saw myself slipping away on the rat´s tail of a dreamy cloud...When she nearly was ready with cutting and everything,she asked about if the hair should be completely dried and if I want to have s.th. in my hair.I told her,she just should come quickly to an end without circumstances and trallala.I just want to take a hot bath after this.Close my eyes and try not to drown.At the moment I listen to the CD of Dido-"life for rent".Do you know it?Unobstrusive,pattering,nice melodies.Very good to relax.It´s for when you actually need a boxcalf but you are too tired for that.I didn´t start with the second job yet.But my boss told me,it could start everyday.I think,they have to talk that over with the parents and youth welfare office first.So,I don´t now yet how it will be.I just now that it should be s.th.with 10 hours per week.I will see...Send you all good luck and best wishes!!From a very tired Martina

Things like that shouldn´t happen!They should take a look at this system.It´s said, that e-mail adresses are not shown to others!And now strangers have an access to e-mail-adresses because of an error in the system!I have to try often twice to send the message away,exept I write just short messages.It´s the programm,which can´t cope with too many words.They better check their server in Portugal!!It´s for the dustbin,I would say...Unfortunately I can´t send you messages to your e-mail adress.It doesn´t work!!It´s not compatible with my system somehow!Hope we write to each other in the blog!Would be nice!And don´t worry about your English!I understand you very well!The more often you write the easier it will be for you.And when we don´t understand s.th.we can ask!And that´s the same with you!Nothing ventured nothing gained!Wish you all the best and good luck!Many greetings from Martina!!

Смотри, глагол "to say" употребляется с предлогом: Will you say to me? А глагол "to tell", который в твоём случае предпочтительнее, - без предлога: Will you tell me?

I usually use ABBYY Lingvo dictionary,rather convenient and full of helpful expressions that make Martina think my English is very good)))

Crazy chick!!You really made me laugh!!...bang your head through the wall...:-0))))His voice is really great nowadays.You can hear,that he took singing lessons.If he would have go on singing with the voice to times of "Mr.Pain"he really would have "Mr.Pain" with his voice nowadays...It´s not good for a voice to sing like that,when your larynx is in the way-you´ll loose your voice one day and maybe then for a looooooooong terrible time...I like the way when he sings with his deep voice.On "devils"he´s singing with chest voice and on angels he´s singing with head voice.You learn chest voice first.It´s easier.But it´s not so good to sing with chest voice all the time-head voice is better for your vocal-chords;when you do it the right way!!I read somewhere,he said,he doesn´t drink beer...I suppose,he likes to do kidding a lot.Why should it be interesting for public what to drink?But the fotos of drunken Jyrki on the floor...I´m not sure,if this is so good.I wouldn´t be happy knowing,when such fotos existing about me in the internet and really everyone can see that!!One day Dr.Linnankivi works in his dental surgery and granny Puorinen walks in,points with a shaking finger on him and sceams:"Oh,not him,please!!Maybe he sees my teeth doubled and positions the drill right in the middle between two teeth and shapes my gums away with his drill!And then I can walk home with still a hole in my tooth and another one in my jawbone!!"Internet never forgets!!Well,I´m looking forward to the new ideas on that new album.Mr.Death Metal 666 will show us how to shake the rest of our brains out of our exploded heads and scratch our perfect skin just by his voice..;-))Have a good night,Iva!!´Til then,bloody greetings!!Martina

Yeah, he is smiling... He looks so wierd! XD I mean I've seen him smile on the other photos like when he was drunk and all that, but he was sober in that photo! Wow! =)))
And it's cute how he said in some interviews that he doesn't drink alcohol at all and I've seen him with a can of bear in like every third picture! Omg! Now that's not normal! XD But he says it's good for his voice so we don't care... =D
His voice has really gone through a huge change... I mean listen to like Mr. Pain and I don't know Stolen Season or something, you can tell a huge difference! And even on this new album his tone of voice is different...
You know what? I just wish to see Jyrki how would he sound like a Black Metaller! Just that! And then I would really bang my head in the wall! XD
They've gone through punk/rock, gothic rock and now----Black Metal? Hmmm...XD
He wouldn't call himself Jyrki 69 anymore, he would be Jyrki 666! =D

Hey,your idea about your English dictionary is great!!When you have questions or you need some help,ask me.I will try to help you somehow!!You also could take a look at "www.online-translator.com".You can translate there for free from Russian into English and the other way round.It´s not so good with proverbs.But when you have the possibility to take a look at that internet-side,just try it.And KinChin is very good at English.I don´t know if KinChin wants to help out,but maybe you could ask.Seems to be a nice and friendly person.But I can´t decide that.It´s just an advice...Chinese and easy???I tried Japanese some years ago.I still like to draw the signs from time to time,but I have to look them up.And Japanese is difficult somehow.So imagine Chinese!It´s a nice language,but I prefer English.It´s one of the easiest and most obvious languages beside Hebrew.
I´ve never been into a sauna,although it´s very popular here in Germany.Lot´s of people go there.(Maybe we are not Germans but the lost sons and daughters of Finland and anybody knows...??;-)))
At the moment we have lots of problems here with the Novo-virus.Today a teacher was taken to hospital by ambulance.And a complete ward is put in quarantine at a local hospital and not open for visitors.My collegue vomited so badly the whole night,she sounded so terribly ill on the phone.We phoned twice today with her,to hear how she´s doing.Poor one!Hope everything will be good with her soon!!She´s a very kindhearted person!I´m still o.k.!Hope not to get infected!!I hate vomiting!It´s one of the most degrading things in the world!!Stay well,dear Mara and all good luck and fun with your kids!!All my best wishes to you!!Martina

Hello, Martina! BTW, I’m making my own dictionary for my “kids”. I just know their problems with vocabulary and try to help them in learning English. But it’s such a difficult task to find all these words and write them down in some logical order! Ahh!
Once my friend told me:” English is not the most widespread language. If you speak Chinese, more people will understand you!” Maybe, he’s right?
I do really write poems and stories, Martina. It's fine!!

Oh, forgot one thing! On the weekend I went to sauna. Sucked some blood- it was sooo delicious! I understand you, vampires! Have a nice evening!!!

Here in Germany we have many beautiful places.But in the area of the town I live,we have not much snow.There was snow-drizzle once.Last strong winter was 10 years ago or so.Snow from mids of october until beginning of april.Urgh!!But when you drive ~45 minutes to the "Sauerland"there´s very much snow.It´s like you walk over a line when you go there.From one minute to another there´s snow and it´s getting deeper,the more you go on driving.The place where I live is so beautiful in spring and summer.Wherever I went in all my life,there was never a place where I heard so many birds singing.And we have here always the better weather than around us.Maybe it´s a geographic reason.And we have bats here flying around in the garden and around the street lamp.Last may there were so many maybugs.They just come out every 10 years.They started to fly at dusk.My weekends I spend most of the time in "Dortmund" which is a bit city ~1 hour away from here.For me it´s not a nice city.It´s loud,ugly,very dreary,but you get everything there.It´s good for shopping.When you drive through cities like "Essen" the buildings get more and more bigger.There´s a way on the motorway to Essen,I think it´s the skyline of New York.Once we came back from the Netherlands and we took the motorway through "Düsseldorf".That´s a real metropolis.One road above the other and above those two another bridge-I felt like driving through Los Angeles!It was a summerevening and with all those lights,it was impressing,although I don´t like cities that much.I always get the feeling of getting lost,never find out again and never been found.Too much stone,too big houses,skyscrapers,cars and people.It´s killing.Near Düsseldorf there´s "Zons".A beautiful village with old houses from the middleages direcly at the Rhine.You should see Cologne.That´s the only nice big city with atmosphere.You also should see "Münster".Such a beautiful town.The centre of the city was completely destroyed in the world war,but they rebuild it like it was.It´s such a nice charm and atmosphere with all those beautiful facades,shops,streetcafes,ice-cream parlours and beautiful churches and a gothic cathedral.I love it very much there.There are many students because of those universities.Or you should see the "Bodensee".This sea connects Austria,Switzerland and Germany.You should see beautiful Meersburg,Überlingen,Konstanz,the Mainau,Lindau etc..I already was there for 4 times and I would go there again.When you go there once,you´ll loose your heart there.

Yes, I heard there are a lot of floods there in Germany, we see it on televison, don't worry...=)
Yeah, it't awful.
But you must have a lot of snow there, in my town it only snows a little but it never ever stays on the ground, but there where are mountaines there are avalanches from all of amount of snow!XD Now, that's not normal... I love the snow so much, I enjoy just watching it how it falls lightly on the ground... But here I don't get the chance to see it often.
I am from Rijeka, it's a town right next to the sea, I've lived here all my life and I can't imagine living somewhere else!
But I have to say that I don't really like this town, well exactly the people. They can be really rude here, so that sucks... They only look at themselves and ignore something else, something different...
As long as I can remember we never had floods here, but somewhere up north or east of Croatia floods do unortunately happen... Beacuse of the low terrain.
But I think that my town is the town with the most cloudy and rainy days here in Croatia! I always seems like there is a giant grey or black cloud right above the town! That's sick! XD
Even today the weather is like that. The last time it was sunny here was about a week ago... And when it stars raining here it can't stop! So you can't go nowhere (well except school, I'm doomed to that! =), you stay all day home and just hope that it would stop raining! It rains even at summer time but I don't care because I'm not here one month at summer! ^^
And indeed your town is little Venice! XD
I've never been there, it's such a shame and I am like couple of kilometers from it! =)
But our truly beloved teacher said that he would like to take us there so we all got excited about that! I can't wait to see Venice! It's a beautiful town!

Here it´s still raining as well all day long!!At the moment we have heard about warnings because of flooding.The place where I work and live over the week is such a beautiful place.It´s a small city with many rivers in and around the city and a small channel through the city.But when it´s raining a lot,we get problems with too much water.And in winter with the melted snow and ice from the "Sauerland"/a very hilly area close to us.The suburb I live in,is very close to town,but some other suburbs are a bit far away.You have to drive through an area with fields,meadows and woods to go there.Last year we had four floodings,last until mid of december,´til the last water was gone.We have a huge sportsplace connected to pastures and it´s always flooded soon.Some years in winter as well and when it got frozen people went there icescating,but that was an isolated case.In november/december ´07 it was so worth that one teacher of our school couldn´t come to work.The suberb where she was from,was cut off from the outside world.People got care-packages to get through the days.The centre of the city is never flooded but the neighbours always have water in their cellars here.It´s getting more and more worse with every year,the more the city grows and houses are build.The underground water table is very high.It was all a bog in the middle ages here.1965 the city was completely flooded,people used canoes to paddle through the streets.Thank god,as long as I live,we never had s.th.like that.But in december they were worried about breaking of the dikes ´cause they are all ailing.They drove with policecars through the streets and warned the people,but nothing happened!-What a luck!I call my city loving "little Venice".When it´s really really strong flooding and you drive out of my suberb,you see nothing but water.It´s like living by the sea.It´s so strange.Hope it will end up raining soon.Or the dead people on our cemetery will get swimming lessons for free again..;-))I miss the sun so much!!Best wishes to you and many greetings from-not yet,but nearly- "little Venice"!!Martina

It´s great that teaching languages (is that right?-recently you wrote s.th.like that)was so successful for you!Maybe this is sort of a door to another jobcareer??Who knows?I worked in so many different jobs all my life,sometimes I never thought of.But you need money to live and I hate it not to work.It makes me feel sick.

I love painting landscapes, too. As for the details, I loved them when I was a little girl, now I try not to pay any attention at them. My father is an artist, but he paints with oil colours. I tried them and it was not very cool...
Maybe, it's really not so bad to live in my country? For example, if your contract is over & your boss doesn't want to take you again, a special organization may help you to stay there or to find a new job. BTW, many doctors work as businessmen nowadays,'cause the job is really badly paid.
And I tried myself as a teacher! It's so interesting! I'm happy! At least I'll get some money to buy smth very nice!!!

I like Within Temptation to, they were here in Croatia couple a days ago, I hear they were great! I mostly listen to Black and Gothic Metal, and some death, electro goth and all music similar, I never listened to Alice Cooper and Whitesnake, I mean I heard a lot of songs by them, but I never found something that would atract me in that sort of music and The 69 Eyes are pretty much sounding now like that... You are right.They´ve changed their style.But I like it very much.When I was young there was a period,when I just listened to heavy metal and hard rock.I like crashing guitars.Do you remember bands like Alice Cooper,Cinderella,Whitesnake,Saxon,Ozzy Ozborn,Poison,220 Volt,Guns Lingers etc.?I like the albums of the 69 eyes like "Paris kills" or "blessed be".They impart a special feeling and I like that.But time changes.Believe me:Repeating yourself kills you one day.I like music by Within Temptation for example,but I can´t listen to it over and over again.Four songs are enough.It´s all the same style.Listen to one song,you´ve heard them all.The new songs of the eyes are fresh and full of life.But I can understand,what you mean.The music I listen to ranges through all sort of styles.It´s not only rock or gothic.I listen to nearly everything.Music is so interesting.

I have to say that I don't like their new album so much, they have changed! In every single interview when someone asks Jyrki why have they changed their style he says that is not truth! But it is! They have changed their music style! From punk/rock to gothic rock/metal and now this... I only listen their gothic era...=)
They were great back then!
Btw, I'm a huge fan of Rammstein! I love those fucks! XD
Germany has a lot of great bands!

Hi Mara!
As I told you,I love to paint,too.I used to draw with a pencil a lot,when I was young.I drew artists sometimes,but mainly landscapes.Then I painted a lot with oil paint.Irish landscapes.I love Ireland so much!The Emerald Isle!There are hundreds of greentones.And this blue!Blue sky and blue water.Time to rest and just relax in those calm colours...I also paint with watercolours.When I was young I had my beloved "Caran d´ache"-watercolours.But suddenly you couldn´t buy them anymore.I still keep some of them and I want to use them for s.th.special one day.Caran d´ache still exists,but I haven´t seen watercolours of them in the shops here.The colours are very high quality and I suppose,not many people want to by expensive colours.Children use for school more cheap colours.I bought watercolours in tubes some time ago.It´s very different painting.With Caran d´ache I knew how to mix a colour in order to get the colour I wanted to have.It´s a different way of painting now,´cause the colours in tubes are sort of "syrupy" and the result is strange,when you mix them.I also have graphite pencils at home.I haven´t tried these ones yet,but I draw with graphite at school many years ago.For me it´s the same unsatisfying result like drawing with black ink.It smears quickly and everything is ruined.I prefer colours nowadays.When I paint or draw something, my aim is it,that it looks nearly like a fotograph in the end-most realistic as possible.The details are most important for me!And you won´t find people or animals in my paintings-just birds sometimes.When you let youself in for the painting you will recognize,that nature is so much alive,you don´t need sources of disturbances and elements of interference.The peace and silence lead to rest by the complete beauty of the coloures of nature.
I´m such a lucky girl today.I had a good talk with my boss and the director of my place of work today.They told me both,that they are very satisfied with me and they want me to stay.The director will try to talk with the employment office about it,although I´ve talked yesterday to someone there and she told me,that I could stay until 31st of july,but then my fixed-term contract ends and it´s not possible to extend it.Please,Mara,keep your fingers crossed for me!I would like to stay there so much!It´s badly payed,okay,but my collegues are such nice people,my boss and director are fair and friendly,too.They told me both,that they know about the payment.But they try as countermove to that,to ease many things for me at work.They already do!What a good start into weekend!!Many greetings to you and best wishes!!!Martina

Hi, Martina! It's OK, I'm still here. I forgot to tell you about my pictures! I usually use graphics – just two or three colours, but yesterday I had a feeling that I must do smth in colours. I just began to paint smth with much of black. It turned out to be a waterfall…
I’ve drawn Jyrki once. He has such beautiful eyes- it’s hard to draw them properly.
The topics are different, but I can see that all the people that I draw are lonely & in despair very often & the landscapes are gloomy…
Unfortunately, the most part of my works is left in the Art school. I have the worst ones at home…

BTW, I don't like dirty jokes, but some of them are really witty. 'Cause Russian is an unusual language: once a professor told smth ordinary on the lecture, and it sounded just like smth very bad. The most of these jokes are untranslateble.

I really would like to tell you some of the jokes I know,but I can´t tell them unfortunately!I´ve got a collegue and she always tells these dirty jokes.In her sparetime she goes "bouling".(Not bowling!!It´s this game where you try to kick a little ball with another ball.It´s played in France often.)There are lots of men playing this game in that group with her.And I suppose,they tell those jokes.Men are more relaxed with dirty jokes than women.Most girls I know cast down their eyes in shame,when you tell jokes like that.I can´t understand that,really!Life sometimes is earnest enough.So what about a little joke?The men I worked with in my life often told the best jokes..;-))Nobody really should take that to serious!Bye,bye with laughter!!Martina

Hi, Martina! I know I would regret about leaving my Univ! And thank you for advice. You know, I didn't dream of becoming a doctor. When I entered the Univ, I was told it is the best profession in the world. But doctors say it is not well paid(they get a 100 euro a month), they lose their health at work...
Well, let's change the topic. My holidays will last till February,2. My brother wanted to help me with German, & I'm gonna take some lessons of French! Maybe, I'll continue my career as an artist. Oh, I love painting so much!

I´ve finished work!Yohay!!:-))So here I am.I thought about your funny question.How cruel and cunning it is,to take things out of somebodies suitcase on the quiet!!Well,"my man"would know,that it´s healthier for him not to do such risky and dangerous acts!;-))A super-MCA would be bound to happen,he´ll never forget that in all his life!!To respect privacy is very important for me;in a relationship,too!It´s a breach of trust,in my opinion.
I would let him "bleed"for that somehow.But in the end,I think,holidays are something special and it would be a pity to spoil them.But from time to time I would make special comments concerning to what had happened.Everytime he did´t expect it.I´m quite good at that.I´m not unforgiving but I couldn´t keep those comments for myself then..;-))I also would recognize it immediately when s.th.´s missing!
What about you??What would you do,if somebody takes things out of your suitcase!!And don´t tell me,that you are not taking too much with you!I´m sure you don´t,of course!!;-)But just imagine...
I always carry the suitcase by myself,apart from when someone offers me help.I´m very proud!I´m responsible for the stones in my suitcase..;-)))
About my trip:I always take a mobile with me of course!So,if s.th.problematic happens I could phone several people and they help immediately.I know about that.I´m not headless.I think about things much and plan them.So anything can happen to me.
Weather really is no problem.There are always possibilities to hide.When I run out of physical power,I take a rest.And then I go on with my trip.I don´t give up so quickly.I don´t look like that,but I´m really very tough.

I’ve passed my exam successfully yesterday! But my new district doctor (a nice guy, btw) told me to drop University immediately! He said it’s not a job for a young girl. I believe him, but still don’t know where to find a job. Well, my holiday has started, maybe, I’ll think of smth.
How are you? And how’s your luggage? I’m still a little bit envy, ‘cause I’d like to visit Hell’sinki too. My time hasn’t come yet. I’ll try to bewitch my luck!

Hi,Martina!Seems my ordinary routine went wrong as well!I fall asleep early in the evening just to wake up at 3 p.m. have breakfast and wait for the new day to begin...As it takes some time I enjoy myself with writing to you.
Read through your list of pleasures and,you know,according to this my life mostly consists of them only.Still they are more like musts,since reflect my studing or some other pro interest.
Never tried such "hardcore trips".It's risky.And what if a heavy rain starts,maybe even with hail or you run out of physical power so that you really can't drive anymore and you stand helpless there in the middle of the way with your cycle nearby...
It is a big plus that you've started learning Finnish already.And in case you continue you'll just get closer to your dream.Who wants to be sorry about wasted time and pains?
Some days ago I was doing smth. with the radio switched on.And there was some entertainment program:the speakers and listeners discussed traveling.At the end someone raised a question:how to make girls not to take so much clothes,as their suitcases appear in men's hands after all.I remember only one advice:while she isn't watching to take out a half of things,the lack won't be noticed anyway.Guess,it's a bit unpractical and cruel way:in case the lack is noticed,girl gets stressed and journey may be hopelessly spoiled.Is it fair?Isn't it possible to think up smth. more peaceful?No doubt,men are being corrupted(((

With staying just in Helsinki,I meant not to leave Helsinki within that week and travel to another place in Finland.I think,there will be so much to see in Helsinki,that it wouldn´t make much sense to travel somewhere else within these 6 days.I was thinking about working in Helsinki for half a year or a year when I could get a job in my job profile.In a german kindergarden or as a nanny,but I just started learning Finnish,so it won´t make much sense.When you work with children you should speak the native language.But one day I would like to do that.Maybe my wish will come true and if not,I had a nice dream I could hold on...;-))
I always take too much with me,when I travel or just go somewhere for a weekend.I´m already very well known for that...unfortunately...;-//))I don´t know,why that is so.It´s just me.Maybe I could need the things and then they are left at home!!But I will try just to take things with me I really need.I´ll try my best!!Now I have no other possibility.Or I have to pay extra for it and be responsible in the end,when the plane can´t start his flight,just rolling and swimming to Helsinki,while trying not to drown in the sea...;-))Many greetings from Martina!!

Hey,it´s so great that everything went well for you with your exam!Lucky one that your day turned out to be such a good one!!Maybe my fingers are magic...;-)))
You asked me about relaxing.There are several things I can relax with.Swimming in thermal baths.Listening to music I need at that moment.Dancing is very relaxing for me.While the music moves my body,I let my mind wander or think anything.Painting and handicrafts.Singing is wonderful as well.Reading a good book-especially while taking a good smelling hot bath.Or just listing to music,while taking the bath.Or imagine a wonderful warm sunny day,cycling through the fields,smelling the summer and you know,you have so much time that day.That´s freedom and so peaceful for me,that this relaxes me completely.I cycle a lot.In winter a bit less but in summer very often.These tours last a few hours then.Last summer I visited my brother on a "hardcore trip".I started early in the morning and I cycled nearly 80 km that day.There were huge roadworks along the channel,where I had planned to cycle along.And the diversion was a bit longer way...It was very hot that day.Nearly 40°C in shadow and I had to drink a lot.The supply of water run low quickly and there was no supermarket directly on my way.I didn´t wanted to waste time by searching one in the villages and towns I passed through.I send my brother an SMS per mobile and he waited for me on the corner of his street with a bottle of cool water!!I thought he was an angel,believe me!!;-))Two days later,I went back,taking an other way,but I suppose it was still round about 70 km.Next summer I want to do that again!!In the end it was great!Exhausting but great!!

Didn't have to pass my exam(English:Theoretical phonetics) today,as the teacher decided I studied well enough during the term-time and gave me a mark at the consultation yesterday(Hmm...were your fingers crossed in advance?)Guess,you can imagine how much happy I was being,all of a sudden,set free from the need to learn all night long!So I made up my mind to spend the rest of the day indulging in little pleasures.First,I went to the Complementary Medcine Centre.There is a hydropathic offering different procedures(IR sauna,hydromassage,etc) that help relax and make you feel as if you've been just born.Mmm...So pleasing.I'd love to live there.Then,on the way home,I bought a lot of ice-cream and nuts.After eating it all I fell asleep under two blankets and slept like an angel until 2 p.m. awoken with the idea of writing to you,but I didn write...since I wanted to be thought about on Tuesday)))
And what is the best way to relax for you?
About Helsinki:it is very good you are going to spend there the whole week,having a plan on each day(though any plan may fail, it is always better to have one),so you'll get much more impressions and fun than me(though they both won't be so specific as mine).Tell me what so heavy is there in your suitcase?!Swimsuit made of gold?!In summer it is quite hot!Some little T-shirts,miniskirt,jeans and a couple of frocks are all you need!What did you mean with "I think,it will be best just to stay in Helsinki."Stay for living?!Don't you find that kind of perilous?

Now I just can tell you about how it went on with me with the social-pedagogic-specification ´cause there may be other ways in different job specifications:When leaving the "Gymnasium"with 10th class you go to a "Fachhochschule"to get lessons there and a training in the job profile you´ve choosed.With me for example it was social-pedagogics.When you leave there after one year,you can start working.When you stay there another year,you end up with the "small/specified Abitur".(With this you can just study in you specification.With me it´s s.th.social.)When you leave school now you may study or you go to a "Berufsfachschule für Sozialpädagogik e.g./vocational college for social-pedagogic.You can stay there 2 years/it ends with several oral and written exams.When you leave you are just a kindergarden helper.When you stay the 3rd year you end up with the "Colloquium"/oral exam in front of the school-commitee.After that you are allowed to lead a group in a kindergarden.And that was my way.With this training I´m allowed to work in a kindergarden,leisure-time activities for juveniles,OGS(Offene Ganztagsbetreung an Schulen/Whole-day-shelter(?)at schools/that´s what I´m now doing for the youth welfare at a special school),working in a childrenshome,working in homes for handicapped grown-ups(but often you need another specification for that ,s.th. like "Heilpädagogik/medical-pedagogics(???)"etc.) or psychiatry etc..There are also schools like Montessori-schools or Waldorf-schools.I will tell you later about it.Now I keep my fingers crossed for your exams!!All the best to you!!Many greetings and good luck from Martina!!

Hi Mara!
There are several schools in Germany.First the children go to a kindergarden.When they are between 3-6 years old.There´s a new law to send children with two years to a kindergarden if wanted.And there are "Kinderkrippen"where already babies are looked after.We also have kindergardens for handicapped children.Some kindergardens are mixed,which I think,it´s the best solution,but they are very rear because of money.Some kindergardens just take a maximum of 2 handicapped children per group,with a third person/kindergarden helper for support.With 6 years usually-with admission with 5 years-kids go to the "Grundschule"/primary school.They stay there for 4 years.When a child has massive learning problems,ADS,ADHS,Autism etc.they go to a special school,when they are 6 years old.And often they stay there to enter the "Hauptschule" which is connected to the special school then as well.
Now it´s getting complicated.The teacher talks to the parents,when children are going to leave primary school.Depending on the talents and abilities of the kid,they can go:to the "Hauptschule"(this one is not connected to a special school now/leaving school with 10th class and starting a job training then),to the "Realschule"(leaving with 10th class and starting job training as well)or to the "Gymnasium"(where you leave with 10th class or with the "big Abitur"/sort of A-level?/With this you can study now everything you want/you go to university/A semester costs between 250-500 € depending where and what you are studying.)

Hello, Martina! Tomorrow's my last exam-The History of Belarus. I haven't prepared yet. I belive it'll be all right.
About our education system. The school is 12 years, the 11th & the 12th are not obvious-they're like college to get prepared for University. After the 10th form you may go to college to get full secondary education & professional scills, & after it you may work or enter University. Univ is 5 or 6 years. As I'm a medical student, I'll study for 6 years & then for 2 years in a hospital to get full education. Then I may chose to be a scientist or a doctor. Scientist should get some more knowledge for 2-3 years.
But maybe it's better to find a job? I'm thinking of it right now...

I´m home now!Thank god!Travelling at night isn´t so pleasant and I´m always a bit afraid of getting tired behind the wheel.But everything went well.
About Helsinki:I will stay there for a week.So,this is not much time to see all beautiful and interesting places of a city.I know that about London,where I stayed for a day,when we came back from Ireland.We arrived late in the evening,had the following day for "sightseeing"and went back to Germany the next morning.
I don´t want to miss anything but I don´t want to stress myself by the idea of seeing everything and leave with the idea I haven´t seen much.You know what I mean?I always think,I could miss s.th..And on the other hand I live like:Comme ci comme ca/take it easy/things come as they come and go...and suddenly time is passed by and I get a "collapse"´cause there´s so much left,I wanted to do.;-))I think,it will be best just to stay in Helsinki.I know,there are many beautiful places around to see,but it won´t make much sense.I read,that they have citybikes in Helsinki.I want to use this option.You get quickly and independent everywhere with a bicycle.And as I love cycling very much, it will be o.k.for me.
The club in the hotel is called "Helsinki club".I didn´t choose the hotel because of it.The hotel is close to the railwaystation.There will be a transfer from Vantaa to the station and I think it´s possible to walk the rest to the hotel.And when I go out I don´t need to revolve how to get back to the hotel,´cause it´s central.
I will write down a programme,what to do everyday.I think that´s best.But the worse problem of all-and it occupies me most-is,how to get to Helsinki with just 20 kg free allowence/laggage!I suppose I´ll have to quit that!Is this really possible??Just when you put in a swimsuit,maybe...Oh dear...I think,I better already start today to weight out things I need to take with me.So I have time enough to say goodbye to many things that won´t get the possibility to jump into the suitcase..;-)))And it´s also the question about the temperature there.I´ve heard there can be 30°C but on the other hand it´s by the sea.And it´s colder by the sea.Mmmhh...So many questions...

Internet macht die Leute gleich, aber nicht in der Sprache! Heute habe ich viel zu tun mit meinem Wörterbuch und habe verstanden, was die Wörter „außerdem“ und „schlimmm“ bedeuten!!! Toll!!! Ich muss mein Deutsch „nehmen“, brauchen und besser machen. Die Grammatik ist ein Alpdruck(8{], und ein Dialog mit Deutschen - das beste Mittel, um meine Deutsch zu verbessern.
Wir haben drei Bücher über die deutsche Geschichte und Kultur. Weil ich bin ein Musikant, ich mag wissen, wo und wenn ereignen sich deutschen Festivals und Kunstausstellungen. Manchmal werde ich nach Deutschland fahren und Ausstellung in Hannover sehen.
Nicht verzagen, nur Mut!

Why are you so aggresssive about me?I´m really a bit shocked.Have I said s.th.to you,that offended you?I have no problems with your nickname.It was just a friendly question,what you think about nicknames.
But maybe you are just aggressiv,because you are under pressure because of your exams...I´ll keep my fingers crossed for you anyway.You´ll make it.I´m not paranoid about anything.The things I talk about are not personal.It´s the reality of everyday life here and I talk with Mara about it.If you don´t want to do conversation with me,I´ll have to accept it.I would be sad,but I can´t change that.

You lucky one!A concert in Finland with the eyes!!I will be in Helsinki in summer and I´m really looking forward to that!!I´m can´t wait to see that interesting city.And as it´s summer then I need less sleep than in winter.So I promised to myself to dance all night thru ´til I drop dead and see every interesting place in the city at day.In the hotel is one of the fashioned clubs in Helsinki and I also want to go to Tavastia!!I hope they play good music.Many greetings from Martina!!

Hallo BG!!Ich hoffe,Du bist einverstanden,wenn ich Deine Namen abkürze!!Wir können gerne in Deutsch schreiben.Frage mich,was Dich interessiert und ich versuche,es zu beantworten.Außerdem versuche ich "gutes Deutsch" zu schreibe.Du mußt wissen,dass Deutsch eine schwere Sprache ist,wegen der Grammatik.Aber zusätzlich hat die gesprochene und auch geschriebene Sprache einen "schlimmmen" Slang,über den wir Deutschen uns oft gar nicht bewusst sind.Und wir haben diese Rechtschreibreform gehabt,nach der jetzt kaum jemand von den "Alten" mehr klar kommt.;-//)))Ich werde mich aber anstrengen!!Versprochen!!Außerdem kannst Du "Du" zu mir sagen und brauchst mich nicht
