If you weren't lucky enough to catch the recent iTunes Summer Festival appearance by Leeds' finest, The Music, then fear not as you can catch the gig in all it's glory this evening (July 30th). The good people at ITV2 will be screening the event tonight from 7pm, so set your recorders!
Two of Royal Artist Club's finest are going to be joining forces later this afternoon to provide the people of London with a musical extravaganza – all for the sum of nowt. In their ongoing series of amazing instores, Pure Groove (based in Farringdon, East London) have brought in Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip to play a live set in celebration of their new single, 'Letter From God to Man'. Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip
are extremely pleased to announce that they are the latest signing to hip hop label Strange Famous Records. The US based label, founded by leftfield hip hop pioneer (and former Anticon signing) Sage Francis, will release the pair's debut album across the US and Canada. Speaking on Myspace, the pair commented: "...keeping quiet our excitement about this while the final details were put into place has been extremely annoying. We are both big fans of this label which is run by one of our favourite artists... God damn this is a good day!"

Last night – in Glasgow – saw the kick off of DLSVSP's special 3-day Motivational Seminar Tour where Dan and Scroob will attempt to motivate the masses using songs as guidance... in their words: "You know you want it, nay, NEED IT". With Big Dada's Cadence Weapon and Bristol's Kid Carpet in support the mini-tour will trundle on to Manchester this evening and then conclude tomorrow at the London Astoria 2. More info.
For the video of their latest single, Walking Backwards, The Futureheads provide an insight into the daily grind of life in a popular rock band – much like they're doing on their blog – except this one's with diminutive puppets. Great.
Under the pseudonym Black Heart Kings, one of Royal Artist Club's more noisy acts (here's a none too subtle clue: G@!!0w5) are to play London's Camden Underworld on Tuesday August 19th. So if you would like to see the band in the intimate surroundings of this legendary venue then you better be quick as tickets are promised to sell out very quickly! Buy them here.
Royal Artist Club bloggers Dub Pistols have a very busy weekend ahead of them and if you're based in the southern UK area you will be able to catch them in action. On Saturday the band will be playing one of their typically eclectic DJ sets in the Garden Party tent at the Lounge On The Farm festival in Canterbury, whilst Barry Ashworth will be playing a solo set at Break Da House's fourth birthday bash in Bournemouth. And then it's up to London on Sunday for a live performance with Terry Hall at the free Rise Festival in London's Finsbury Park.
